The Great Outdoors

2730 South Congress Ave. 

Set on two acres of land, this sprawling garden center is ideal for getting lost in while you look for a new green friend. The Great Outdoors inventory includes everything from fruit trees to water plants. Employees are also happy to answer any plant-related questions you might have. 

Succulent Native

5501 North Lamar Blvd. (cart pop-ups at Guadalupe and 24th Street; Congress and Sixth Street; and 1412 South Congress Ave.) 

The succulent-focused spot started as a pop-up cart and has since expanded to include a brick-and-mortar location. Find tiny succulents and cacti planted in an eclectic selection of pots. Succulent Native also hosts workshops and events, like the monthly beginner's arrangement class.

The Enchanted Florist

1616 Lavaca St. 

Alongside houseplants, The Enchanted Florist offers bouquets and other special occasion arrangements. The shop also offers same-day delivery to many Austin-area zip codes. 

Sledd Nursery

1211 West Lynn St. 

This Clarksville nursery has been a part of the Austin gardening community for over 40 years. Wind through the paths to find topiaries and statues to complete your garden. 

Frond

507-A West Mary St. 

Find artful pots and macrame hangings alongside delicate succulents, cacti and more at this small shop off of South First Street. You'll find a revolving inventory in the bright space.

Plant Party

1201 East 11th St. #105

For a more hands-on approach, build your own terrarium in an hour-long workshop at this spot. Schedule a time for you and a friend, or schedule a group build on or off site. Plant Party also offers delivery for some of its terrariums and gardens. 

The Natural Gardener

8648 Old Bee Caves Road 

With over eight acres of space, there's a lot to explore at the Natural Gardener, which focuses on organic and sustainable gardening. If you're looking to learn more about the art of gardening and harvesting (or how to make your own soap or kombucha), The Natural Gardener offers free community classes every Tuesday and Saturday. Say "hello" to the center's goats and chickens while you're there. 

Tillery Street Plant Company and East Austin Succulents

801 Tillery St. 

Tillery Street Plant Company has an extensive selection of pots, seeds and soil as well as interior and garden plants. The company teamed up with East Austin Succulents to offer succulent and cacti arrangements in its space. Stop by and you might see Subby the black pug hanging around the plants.
