The H.L. Bourgeois volleyball team picked up a 25-20, 25-18, 25-10 District 6-I victory over Central Lafourche on Thursday in Mathews.

The Lady Braves improved to 23-5 overall and to 5-0 in district, while Central Lafourche fell to 6-19 on the season and to 0-4 in district.

Leaders for the Lady Braves were Emily Burgess (13 kills), Kirsten McGuire (10 kills, two solo blocks), Abby Theriot (seven kills, nine digs), Kelsi Stegall (31 assist, three digs) and Mackenzie Vordick (17 digs). 

Leaders for the Lady Trojans were Kinslee Ross (eight kills, 13 digs), Kenzi Pertuit (three kills, two aces, 10 digs), Kagan Hamby (eight kills), Dawandia Gabriel (seven kills, two digs), Cierra Nickolyn (15 digs) and Jaylah Gray (27 assists, 12 digs).

TERREBONNE DEF. HAHNVILLE

At Boutte, Terrebonne used the 26-24, 23-25, 25-20, 26-28, 15-6 District 6-I win to improve to 22-10 overall and to 4-1 in league action.

Leaders for Terrebonne were Trinity Pierce (45 digs, 15 kills), Daycie Theriot (42 assists, four aces), Hannah Liner (32 digs), Inayah Pink (15 kills), Tre'Nae Taylor (10 blocks), Madison Washington (12 kills, eight blocks) and Madison Luke (30 digs). 

Hahnville fell to 13-15 overall and to 2-3 in district. 

SOUTH LAFOURCHE DEF. SOUTH TERREBONNE

At Bourg, the Lady Tarpons won the District 6-II match 25-11, 25-17, 25-6 to improve to 10-18 overall and to 3-2 in district.

Leaders for South Lafourche were Alissa Cosse (27 assists, three aces), Bailey Melancon (18 digs), Liza Derosia (16 digs), Maitlynn Lerille (11 digs), Claire Chiasson (21 kills, four aces).

South Terrebonne fell to 1-23 and to 0-5 in district.

ASSUMPTION DEF. ELLENDER

At Houma, the Lady Mustangs picked up the 25-10, 25-15, 25-9 District 6-II win to improve to 24-6 overall and to 4-1 in district.

Leaders for Assumption were Ra’Von Robertson (19 kills), Ashlyn Moore (six kills), Hannah Landry (four aces, five digs), Raegan Alleman (38 assists), Alyse Walker (five digs) and Lani Alleman (six digs).

Ellender fell to 8-14 and to 1-3 in district.

E.D. WHITE CATHOLIC DEF. MORGAN CITY

At Thibodaux, the Lady Cardinals won 25-8, 25-11, 25-16 to improve to 20-6 overall and to 3-o in District 7-III.

Leaders for E.D. White were Khloe Trosclair (11 kills), Emmi Lasseigne (seven kills, three aces), Kadie Becnel (13 digs), Adeline Authement (11 digs), Caroline Gros (25 assists), Joiee Daigle (six assists) and Joci Gravois (three aces).

Morgan City fell to 10-11 and to 0-2 in district. 

HIGHLAND BAPTIST DEF. HOUMA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

At New Iberia, the Lady Warriors fell 25-18, 25-23, 14-25, 25-11 in District 2-V action and dropped to 7-19 overall and to 1-3 in district. 

Leaders for the Lady Warriors were Lauren Daigle (nine digs), Camryn Dyson (15 digs, 13 kills), Laura LeMaire (nine digs), Alex McKeon (four aces, 16 digs), Abby Ricker (35 assists, five digs) and Jayda Ward (15 kills, three digs, four blocks). 

Highland Baptist improved to 20-11 overall and to 3-2 in district.
