LAFAYETTE – The Nicholls State University women's soccer program faltered a tough non-conference match at in-state rival Louisiana-Lafayette falling by a final 2-0 margin to the Ragin' Cajuns on Wednesday evening.

Nicholls (2-2-1 overall) chalked up just one shot on the night (none on goal) with one corner kick.

Individually, senior Blaire Laiche clocked the Colonels' lone shot for the game.

In between the posts, senior Roosa Hurmerinta notched her fourth start of the season, giving up two goals on the evening while registering three saves.

Louisiana-Lafayette improved to 4-2-1 overall.
