Two weeks into the high school football season in Alabama and there haven't been any massive shake-ups in most of the classifications.

Class 5A had the biggest movement of all following last week's games. Jasper (1-0) takes over at No. 1 following Briarwood's 17-14 loss to Chelsea. Ramsay, which was ranked No. 2, also fell to Pinson Valley, 27-7.

Ramsay fell to fourth, while Briarwood dropped to sixth. Demopolis and Central-Clay County moved up to two and three, while Etowah moved to No. 5 following its 43-13 victory over Moody.

Etowah opens region play this week, as does most of the teams in the state, when the Blue Devils play host to Crossville.

Class 2A also saw a little shake-up after Addison fell to Piedmont, 28-16. Ohatchee jumped to No. 3, while Addison fell to No. 5.

Collinsville also moved up a spot to No. 6. Fyffe remains the unanimous choice at No. 1 in 2A, while Luverne jumps to No. 2.

The remainder of the classifications remained much the same. The top five in 7A and 6A remained the same with Hoover and Saraland holding onto their respective top spots.

In Class 4A, the top four stayed where they were last week, including Hokes Bluff. The Eagles are No. 2 in the state behind UMS-Wright after shutting out Southside, 21-0, last Thursday.

The top six in 3A stayed put with Flomaton holding steady at No. 1 with Piedmont on its heels at No. 2.

Mars Hill Bible remains No. 1 in 1A with the top five teams holding strong to their positions.

Spring Garden, which fell to Cedar Bluff 14-12 last week, dropped from No. 5 to No. 9.
