TALLAHASSEE — The Arnold boys soccer team took wins of 1-0 over Maclay and 4-0 over Columbia on Saturday to claim the championship of the Maclay Invitational for the fifth consecutive year.

Dawson Miller had the only goal of the game in the victory over Maclay, while Hector Gonzalez, Tyler Wilson, Ben Lebdaoui, and Tristen Gandy all scored goals against Columbia. Josh Grunden, Braden Masker, Seth Ward, and Taylor Bradley had assists.

Arnold next plays Wednesday at home against Gulf Breeze.

 

Girls soccer

Mosley 4, Bay 0

PANAMA CITY — The Mosley girls soccer team eased by Bay at Tommy Oliver Stadium to improve to 3-1 on the season and 3-0 in District 2-3A competition. The Tornadoes fell to 1-5 overall and 0-4 in league play.

Emily Duncan had two goals and an assist, with Isa Thomas adding a goal and an assist. The Dolphins also scored from a Bay own-goal on a Mosley corner kick. Mosley will next play Tuesday at Choctawhatchee. The Tornadoes play Rutherford on Monday at Tommy Oliver Stadium.

 

Boys basketball

Lighthouse Christian 72, Rutherford 67

PANAMA CITY — Xzavier World led the Rams with 18 points, followed by Justin Martin with 17, Lavar Hills with 15, and Brian Edwards with 12. Rutherford is now 1-2 this season and next plays Marianna on Tuesday night at Rosenwald High School.
