The Arnold boys soccer team defeated Maclay 4-2 in the opening round of the Maclay Invitational Tournament on Friday.

Taylor Bradley scored the first goal on a Tristan Gandy throw-in five minutes into the game. Bradley also scored the final shot of the game.

Seth Ward scored on an assist from Liam Kearns in the 10th minute. Kearns also assisted on Arnold's third goal scored by freshman Braden Masker. That goal broke the tie and ultimately secured the victory.

 

Girls basketball

Navarre defeated Arnold 48-34.

Arnold's Alexia Griffin scored a game-high 18 points. Alexis Wray finished second on the team with eight points.

Mosley 45, Bay 34

Ladaiizha Taylor had 19 points and 15 rebounds to lead Mosley. Ja'Mya Broglen had 11 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, while Mattie Toson added 10 points.

Christionna Faison scored 11 points to lead Bay in the loss.

Emma Wilson scored the only goal of the game with an assist from Kylie Huhn. Andrea Evans finished with one save.
