With the 2016-17 boys high school basketball season winding down, the Louisiana High School Athletic Association released its latest unofficial power ratings on Wednesday.

It was the final time the LHSAA released the boys power ratings before announcing the brackets in all classes and divisions on Monday.

The latest boys basketball power ratings are:

CLASS 5A: H.L. Bourgeois (seventh), Thibodaux (10th), Central Lafourche (14th) and Terrebonne (40th).

CLASS 4A: Ellender (20th), Assumption (29th), South Lafourche (34th) and South Terrebonne (37th).

CLASS 3A: St. James (36th).

DIVISION II: E.D. White Catholic (10th) and Vandebilt Catholic (12th).

DIVISION IV: Covenant Christian Academy (eighth) and Houma Christian School (14th).

According to the LHSAA’s website, the Top 32 teams will make the boys state basketball playoffs in Classes 5A, 4A and 3A.

The LHSAA’s website also indicates that the Top 18 boys teams in Division II will make the playoffs with 14 teams receiving byes to the second round. In the Division IV boys basketball playoffs, the Top 26 teams will make the playoffs with six teams receiving first-round byes.

The Boys Marsh Madness Tournament will be held March 5-10 at McNeese State University’s Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles. It will feature the semifinal and championship games in all classes and divisions.
