PANAMA CITY — Panama City Fire Department responded at 4:08 a.m. Tuesday morning to the intersection of E. 23rd St. and Hwy 231, to a rollover motor vehicle accident with entrapment.
According to a press release from the PCFD, upon arrival, an overturned Ford F-350 was located in the ditch on the east side of Hwy 231 in approximately 4 feet of water.
The crews used their hydraulic spreaders to spread the passengers side door of the vehicle enough to extricate the driver. The driver was removed uninjured and turned over to EMS for further medical observation.
High pressure air bags and an arriving commercial wrecker were used to manipulate the vehicle to ensure that there were no others trapped inside.
