The fourth annual Lionfish Challenge from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will honor winners at its December meeting in Panama City Beach. Recreational Category: First place Lionfish King is Ken Ayers of Bay County with 1,194 removed; he also took second place for smallest lionfish at 45 milimeters. Second was John McCain, Gilchrist County, 983 removed. Third was Shea Lowe, Escambia County, 942 removed. Commercial Category: First place Champion is Joshua Livingston, Okaloosa County, 3,192.8 pounds removed (also second place in largest lionfish at 420 milimeters); second Ron Surrency, Duval County, 1,720 pounds removed; third Alex Fogg, Okaloosa County, 1,210.5 pounds removed (also third in smallest lionfish at 52 milimeters).
