FYFFE — No. 1 Fyffe took care of business against No. 6 Collinsville in a 2A, Region 8 showdown Friday night at Long-Ridgeway Stadium.

The Red Devils took a slim 7-3 lead into the half before running away with a 24-3 victory.

After Collinsville stalled on its first drive, the Red Devils answered with a 20-yard field goal by Brody Dalton to go up 7-0.

Fyffe pulled away in the fourth quarter with a 1-yard scoring run by Ike Rowell and a 34-yard touchdown pass from Zach Pyron to William Gillilan.

Rowell totaled 163 yards on 22 carries with two TDs. Pyron ran 25 times for 88 yards while passing for 53 yards and one TD.

Jones totaled 56 yards rushing (16 carries), 135 yards passing (14-of-24) and 26 kickoff return yards. Malachi Orr had three receptions for 72 yards. Jason Perez kicked a 41-yard FG and recovered a fumble defensively that started the lone scoring drive for the Panthers.
