If you want a trip to the football stadium that’s a halftime show all the time, Monday night’s Etowah County Marching Band Expo is dedicated to you.
Since 2001, bands from each of the three school systems in Etowah County have come together for a non-competitive night to support each other in performances.
This year’s band expo is 6 p.m to 8 p.m. Monday at Gadsden City High School Stadium. Admission is $5.
Proceeds will go directly to the band programs to help offset the high costs associated with producing quality halftime shows, and to bring in expert adjudicators to evaluate performances as bands prepare for the upcoming contest season.
The show will start with a mass band performance of “The Star Spangled Banner” at 6:30 p.m.
Other performances will be as follows:
6:30 — Mass Band performance of “The Star Spangled Banner”
6:45 — West End HS Spirit of West End
7:00 — Glencoe HS Yellow Jacket Marching Band
7:15 — Etowah Mu Delta Chi 0f Etowah High Marching Blue Devils
