Here is a rundown of action taken during tonight's Terrebonne Parish Council meeting. All votes were unanimous unless otherwise noted. Councilwoman Arlanda Williams was absent.

ACTION: Approved the minutes of the regular council meeting held Aug. 14, 2019.

ACTION: Proclaimed Sept. 17-23, 2019 as Constitution Week in Houma-Terrebonne.

ACTION: Approved the sole source proprietary purchase and installation of Posi Shell Erosion Control Services and Materials for the Evelyn Avenue ditch.

ACTION: Approved a 2019 budget amendment for the following items: Houma Downtown Development, $19,487; Animal Shelter-Petco, $85,000;  Animal Shelter-donations, $8,453; administration building-elevator repairs, $30,585; Road Lighting District 10, $100,000; victims assistance, $100,000; General Fund, LIHEAP, $4,834.

ACTION: Approved an ordinance to dedicate and accept the  maintenance and operation of High Land Development ,Addendum 1; and energize and accept the street lights of Gulf of Mexico Avenue into the Enhanced 911 Emergency Response System.

ACTION: Approved an ordinance to create a handicapped parking only area adjacent to the property at 303 Verret Street and remove the first parking meter from its intersection with Verret Street.

ACTION: Appointed Kelly Reeves to the Terrebonne Economic Development Authority Board.
