A man was shot and killed during a domestic dispute at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex Monday, police said.
Richard Earl Jenkins, 28, was shot in the head during a fight with Sheneka Hoskins, 29, at Timberlane II Apartments, investigators said. The two were arguing over ownership of a handgun, said Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit commander Capt. Jack Kennedy.
"The argument grew heated and eventually the two argued over ownership of a handgun," he said. "As the two fought over the handgun, the handgun was discharged, striking Jenkins in the head."
Investigators believe Hoskins was the aggressor, he said, and that her actions caused his death. She was charged with manslaughter and was being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with bond set at the maximum allowed $30,000.
