ASSAULT

A 32-year-old Gadsden man told police an unknown subject walked up to him in the 200 block of North Fourth Street Saturday evening and shot him, causing a minor laceration to his ear. The man refused medical treatment and, according to the police report, was uncooperative in providing further information.

 

BURGLARIES/ THEFTS

A Gadsden resident reported three kinds of prescription medication stolen Thursday from a location in the 3900 block of West Meighan Boulevard.

A money bag was stolen from a Buffalo Rock truck at about noon Friday in a parking lot in the 200 block of North 12th Street after someone smashed out a window.

A business in the 300 block of Albert Rains Boulevard was burglarized between 8 p.m. and midnight Friday. When someone arrived to open the business Saturday morning, the front slide window was open. After police cleared the building, a wallet and some change was discovered missing, and security cameras revealed a white male with short hair and a beard had opened the window and grabbed at the cash register, but apparently didn’t make entry because of the traffic on the road in front of the business. The first attempt was made at about 10:15 p.m. The suspect left and returned on a motorcycle at about 11 p.m., when he went through the window into the business, took the change and wallet, searched for a way out the back of the business, then left on the motorcycle.

A Collinsville woman reported a window broken Friday night in her vehicle in the 1000 block of Fairview Alley, and the theft of speakers, interior lights and the entire glove box.

A TV was reported stolen between Aug. 7 and Aug. 24 from a South 14th Street residence.

A woman reported Aug. 26 that someone who has been living in the abandoned house next to her Richardson Street home has been stealing electric service from her residence.

An East Wilkerson Avenue resident reported the theft of a wedding ring, a tiger eye ring, a silver band, a Wii game console, a Michael Kors purse and a push light, stolen Friday morning.
