The controlled fire is expected to generate a small amount of smoke in the neighborhood.

PANAMA CITY - The Panama City Fire Department will be using live fire while conducting fire behavior training on Sep. 9-11 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Panama City Training Academy on 2003 Beck Ave.

“Fire behavior training with live fire is necessary to ensure that our firefighters are proficient in their skills and better able to protect the citizens of Panama City,” a news release stated. “Because this is a controlled fire, we only expect to generate a small amount of smoke in the neighborhood, and we regret any inconvenience that our operations may cause during the exercises.”
