Deane Bozeman school will celebrate its 20th school year in 2019-2020. Opened to serve students in kindergarten through eighth grade, high school students were added beginning with ninth grade in 2003. Bozeman's first graduating class walked the stage at the conclusion of the 2007 school year.

Once considered the “small school in the Sand Hills,” Bozeman now serves close to 1,400 students across 14 grade levels. Despite continuous growth, the family-like atmosphere remains, and it’s clearly evident when on campus.

As unique as the school’s design, Deane Bozeman School offers diverse learning opportunities for students of all ages. Bozeman’s Agricultural Sciences program has been recognized as one of Florida’s best. Last year, program participants earned the highest number of Industry Certifications in Bay District. The Ag program’s student-maintained farm is a big hit with all students. Spearheaded by Bay County Teacher of the Year Becky Peltonen, our agricultural program provides our students high-level learning with a hands-on approach. One of our Agriculture students, Caitlynn Oswald, was recently recognized as a national finalist in the area of Natural and Environmental Resources.

Bozeman Middle School Pre-AP and Bozeman Collegiate Academy (BCA) offer an array of challenging courses that blend with an extensive offering of electives, including: technology, Army JROTC, performing arts, athletics and much more.

Another unique quality of Bozeman is that our students can literally be with us from kindergarten to 12th grade. One of the most special moments in our graduation is when we recognize the students who have attended Deane Bozeman for their entire school careers. Last year, nine students were recognized for this and we truly appreciate the opportunity to share so many special moments with this group of Bucks.

We invite our community to get involved with Buck Nation as mentors and volunteers, and also in the various events we host. You can find us at the stadium most Friday nights, and we’d love to have you in the stands cheering on our hard-working student athletes and our phenomenal Sound of Roaring Thunder Marching Band. For information about volunteering or ways you can help our students, please call me at 850-767-1300.

Rated an “A” school for two consecutive years, Deane Bozeman School is thriving. Behind the success is a supportive community, fantastic students and devoted teachers. As the school’s surrounding community continues to grow, the next 20 years is sure to be exciting.
