Auburn University announced on Wednesday that walk-through metal detectors will be used at all gates of Jordan-Hare Stadium this season.

Fans will not be required to remove shoes, belts, wallets, coins, watches, jewelry, coats or hats before passing through the detectors.

Fans are encouraged to arrive at gates about 30 minutes earlier than normal to ensure smooth entry into the stadium.

Metal detectors will be required at all Southeastern Conference football stadiums by the start of the 2020 season. The detectors are mandadory at all NFL and MLB stadiums.

The clear bag policy remains at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

A prohibited item check location will be outside of Gate 0 on the east side of the stadium. Fans can check prohibited items for safekeeping during the game for a $5 fee.
