Learn to make shrimp tacos at Rouses
Rouses Market in Thibodaux will host a cooking class with Neil Thibodaux, alias Chef Nino, on Sept. 5.
Attendees will learn how to prepare Chipotle Shrimp Tacos at the class, which will run from 6-7:30 p.m. Each guest will have the opportunity to sample the dish.
Admission is free to the event, which will take place at Rouses Market at 204 N. Canal Blvd.
Taco Bell revamping its menu
Taco Bell has announced that it is revamping its menu, switching up the numbers of its combo meals and discontinuing several items starting Sept. 12.
"It’s kind of like our version of decluttering a closet," the company said on its website. "We removed some items and updated it with a craveable assortment that includes best-sellers and updated combo options."
The items that will go away are the Beefy Mini Quesadilla, Chips and Salsa, Chipotle Chicken Loaded Griller, Double Decker Taco, Cool Ranch and Fiery Doritos Locos Tacos, Double Tostada, Power Menu Burrito and the XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito.
Have dinner and enjoy a murder mystery
The Dansereau House in Thibodaux will host an audience-participation live dinner show on Sept. 19.
"Death of a Gangster: A 1920's Mafia Marriage" is an immersive mystery experience full of twists and turns. A murder will occur, and your sleuthing skills will be put to the test as you work to determine whodunit. You'll have the chance to examine clues and mingle with suspects to deduce the culprit as you dine on a buffet-style meal.
Tickets are available at eventbrite.com for $79, which include the show and meal that will run from 6-9 p.m.
