Seven adults lived in the house and the Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced residents.

PANAMA CITY - A Panama City home sustained “major fire damage” during a Monday fire, according to the Panama City Fire Department.

The PCFD was dispatched to 2715 West 11th Street at approximately 8:01 p.m., a news release stated.

“Fire crews pulled multiple attack lines and began extinguishing the fire,” the release stated. “Attack crews made a quick knock down of the fire and performed salvage and overhaul of the residence. There were no threats to exterior structures.”

“The fire was investigated by Panama City Fire Department Investigations personnel and determined to be a accidental cooking fire,” the release stated. “The fire is not under any further investigations at this time.”

A fundraiser on Facebook titled Heather's Personal Emergency Fundraiser and fundraiser on GoFundMe titled House Fire Victim has been set up for the victims.
