FORT WALTON BEACH — Three days after the victim of Saturday's drive-by shooting was taken to a local hospital, an Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman said "he's going to survive."

The incident occurred about 4:15 p.m. outside a home at 28 Miller St. in the Ocean City neighborhood while a child's birthday party was under way in the backyard, according to the Sheriff's Office.

She added that there were several leads in the case.

"They've been working the case extremely hard," Nicholson said.
