A 23-year-old FWB man was hospitalized; FHP is investigating.

OCEAN CITY — Twenty-three-year-old Ulises Pedraza of Fort Walton Beach was hospitalized after being injured in a hit-and-run crash at about 5 a.m. today near the intersection of Racetrack Road and Doodle Avenue, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say a 2011 or 2012 model Chevrolet Cruze sedan was traveling west in the outside lane of Racetrack Road near Doodle Avenue when Pedraza entered the roadway and was struck by the car.

The driver failed to stop, leaving the pedestrian in the roadway with critical injuries, the FHP reported.

Damage to the vehicle should be on the front right side and should include a broken headlamp lens and/or a missing right side mirror.
