OKALOOSA ISLAND — The 28th Annual Greek Festival sponsored by Saints Markella and Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church is celebrating the second of three days at the Emerald Coast Convention Center.
A wide range of Greek foods and drinks are served up, including grilled lamb and a Greek version of the doughnut, served hot with honey and cinnamon. Music is provided by the Kosta Kastanis Band, and the church's Greek dancers give visitors a chance to try a few steps. There is also a display of a Greek Orthodox Church for all guests to visit and learn about its historic culture.
The festival continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $2. Children ages 12 and under get in free.
