Gun control, again

What do you say? Let's revisit the subject. Can't wait to get the feedback.

The military and police need weapons that can fire multiple rounds in a short period of time to diffuse hostile, life threatening situations. Why do you, average "Joe" or "Josephine" need one? Is it a macho thing? You are such a poor shot that you can't kill a squirrel without a machine gun?

It's called "sport" shooting at gun ranges? For what purpose? The Second Amendment, enacted in in 1791, merely states, "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." There is no way that should be construed as a license to own weapons like I described.

There is no way to stop the carnage surfacing every day in this country until these "weapons of mass destruction" are eliminated. There will always be folks that will kill, but at least we can minimize the casualties.
