OKALOOSA ISLAND — Fans of Pandora's Steak House will have one more opportunity to visit their favorite dinner spot.
But not to dine.
Sherie Montalto, widow of the late Sam Montalto and owner of Pandora's, has decided to auction items which have been inside the restaurant since the building closed.
The restaurant was shuttered in January 2017, about a year after Sam's passing.
"In order to do something with the building I have to get it cleaned out," said Montalto.
The public is invited to participate in the auction at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17.
Preregistration for the event will be on Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the restaurant, Montalto said.
Dozens of items will be auctioned, including kitchen equipment and Sam Montalto's collectibles.
Some of the more notable items to be sold include signed boxing gloves from Muhammad Ali and George Foreman, as well as a Foreman robe signed by both boxers. Sam Montalto's pedal cars that were displayed on high shelves will also be auctioned.
"There's a lot of memories in that building, not just from me and my family, but from people in town," said Sherie.
