Vacherie native and renowned conditioning design coach Irving "Boo" Schexnayder will speak to area coaches from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Terrebonne General Medical Center's Ellender Conference room at 855 Belanger Street in Houma.
He will speak about conditioning design and fundamentals. It is free to all coaches and refreshments will be served.
The event is sponsored by the Terrebonne General Medical Center Sports Performance Training Center.
The title of the session is "Planning Your Offseason for speed and power development."
Schexnayder is a leading authority in training design and spent 12 years as a member of the LSU track and field staff and was the jumps coach for Team USA at the 2008 Olympics.
He also founded the Track and Field Academy, the educational branch of the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Association.
