SOUTHEASTERN SASH & DOOR SHOWROOM

Southeastern Sash & Door has been in business since 1996, manufacturing and providing its specialty doors, windows, moldings, hardware, stairs and shutters out of its Fort Walton Beach location, with additional locations in Pensacola and Mobile, Alabama.

In November, it opened a showroom in Santa Rosa Beach to better serve Walton and Bay counties.

“People can see samples in the showroom,” said CEO and owner Bill Peacock. “The showroom can educate people about their windows and doors.

“We’ve got lines from very expensive wood doors to very competitive fiberglass doors,” Peacock added. “We can build wood doors, 8 feet wide and make them Florida code compliant.”

Another popular style is the folding exterior door, Peacock continued. “The doors pocket back into a wall, so you don’t even know a door is there. You want the inside of your house to become the outside.

With the Santa Rosa Beach Southeastern Sash & Door showroom, architects, builders and individuals can see what is new in the industry and what works for the homeowners’ lifestyles. The new showroom currently operates by appointment.

SOLSTICE SUNGLASSES

The Solstice Sunglasses store has been a presence in the Silver Sands Premium Outlets for a few years, but recently it came under the management of Ashley O’Neill.

“We — me and my staff — took over the store in May,” O’Neill said. “And customers are coming back into our store, and they’re getting better experiences and better customer service.”

The Solstice Sunglasses company has stores throughout the nation, but the Silver Sands location is the only one in the immediate Northwest Florida area.

“We sell a lot of brands that people don’t know where to find except on the internet,” O’Neill said. The in-person shopping, she added, allows for customers to try on the sunglasses, and the staff can make adjustments.

The staff also discusses with the customers what type of sunglasses they need based upon lifestyle.

“There are different color lenses that affect the amount of light,” O’Neill continued. Some customers need polarized lenses, while others prefer a brown lens that can be worn in evening hours.

“We’re all trained and ready to go,” she added
