DALTON, Ga. – The No. 2-ranked University of Alabama men’s golf team scorched the par 72, 7,178-yard Farm Golf Club with a team tournament single-round record of 18-under par 270 during Saturday’s second round of the Carpet Capital Collegiate. As a result, the Crimson Tide is in third overall with a team total of 558, two strokes behind co-leaders No. 7 Georgia Tech and Tennessee.

Four Crimson Tide golfers finished the day with rounds in the 60s. Davis Riley finished the second round at 3-under 69 and is in a tie for 3rd at 7-under 137 going into Sunday’s final round. He trails individual co-leaders Tyler Strafaci of Georgia Tech and Tennessee’s Jake Meenhorst by two shots. Wilson Furr shot 4-under 68 on Saturday and is tied at 6th at 5-under par 139 (71-68).
