NICEVILLE — A 45-year-old woman was charged with retail theft after she shoplifted nearly $200 worth of merchandise from a church thrift store, according to an arrest report.
A woman entered Bargain Box one afternoon and stole a $3 basket, $74 worth of clothing, two push carts valued at $55, and a $2 pair of shoes.
After the theft, the store’s manager ran outside yelling at the woman to stop. The woman got in her car and drove away.
The store’s security footage shows the woman stealing. A man, who the Bargain Box staff recognized since he has worked community service with the store in the past, accompanied the woman.
The store’s staff and an Okaloosa County sheriff’s deputy looked the man up on social media, which helped them identify the woman since they are in a relationship. Deputies were able to find the woman and arrest her.
