A Montgomery County man arrested Tuesday is accused in the armed robbery of a Tuscaloosa pharmacy Saturday night.

Tuscaloosa Police believe Stephen Garrett Wynn, 36, told CVS Pharmacy employees he had a gun before ordering them to hand over several prescription medications, said TPD Capt. Brad Mason, commander of the department's Criminal Investigations Division.

A pharmacy employee sounded an alarm before the suspect ran from the business at the corner of Veterans Memorial Parkway and McFarland Boulevard. A witness reported seeing the man leave in a gray hatchback vehicle, Mason said.

Investigators received a tip naming Wynn as a possible suspect. On Tuesday, police arrested Wynn, of Hope Hull, and charged him with first-degree robbery. He remained in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on Wednesday with bond set at $60,000.
