Fantasy became reality on Saturday as fans dressed attended the Tuscaloosa Public Library’s annual YomuCon costume play. Fans were invited to dress as their favorite comic book characters for cosplay contests, and the event included a gaming area, anime screenings, an artists’ alley and a magic show by Emory Kimbrough in the children’s area.

Attendees could meet actor Don Teems from AMC’s “The Walking Dead”; Jason Marsden, an actor from Disney’s “A Goofy Movie” and “Tarzan” who has provided the voice for dozens of characters in animation, video games and commercials; and E.G. Glover, author of “The Mystery Hill” series.
