PANAMA CITY — A Bay County woman has been arrested after allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old boy in a vacant bus, according to police reports.

Donna Gayle Compton, 37, appeared in court Friday on a charge of lewd or lascivious battery. The Panama City Police Department reported that she had sex with a 15-year-old, who was not identified, in the back of a “vacant unsecured” bus April 5 on the property of the Boys & Girls Club of Bay County, 3404 W. 19th St. Compton allegedly has admitted to having intercourse with the child and is being held on a $75,000 bond, PCPD reported.

Compton has been court-ordered to not have contact with the victim.

Hank Hill, CEO of the local Boys & Girls Club, said neither Compton nor the victim had any ties with the organization. Hill said the incident also did not occur during operational hours and that the club’s primary concern is the safety and well-being of all young people in our community regardless of whether or not they are club members.

“The organization does not tolerate illegal or inappropriate activity or behavior on club property,” Hill said. “As soon as the matter was brought to the attention of club staff, we contacted the police immediately. Again, neither parties involved in this case have any affiliation with our organization.”

Compton will be arraigned on the charges May 30.
