SANTA ROSA BEACH — A 46-year-old man pulled over for speeding was arrested after officers found marijuana and methamphetamines in his car.
According to a Walton County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, a deputy clocked the man going 50 mph in a 25 mph zone. When he pulled the car over, the driver got out and appeared very nervous. He asked the deputy if his uncle could come pick him up and said his license may be suspended.
The deputy confirmed the man’s license was suspended, and then searched the vehicle due to the smell of marijuana coming from it.
The deputy found 3 grams of marijuana, two grams of methamphetamine, rolling papers and a metal grinder.
The Crestview man was arrested and charged with drug possession, marijuana possession, drug equipment possession and driving with a suspended license.
