Alexis Osorio rightfully earned headlines for last weekend’s performance, but Alabama softball’s senior pitcher’s historic back-to-back outings overshadowed the hot bat of freshman Kaylee Tow.

Osorio tied an NCAA record with 21 strikeouts in seven innings against Fordham on Saturday, less than 24 hours after she threw a no-hitter in a victory over Boston College. The no-hitter was the fourth for the native of Riverside, Calif., not counting three others in which she was part of a combined no-hitter with one or more other pitchers.
