St. Mary’s Nativity Church: Dwayne and Connie Bourgeois received the Traveling Chalice at the 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday. They will keep the chalice for a week and pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, deaconate and religious life, especially among the young people of our parish and diocese. Anyone wishing to receive the chalice can contact Ronnie Danos at 537-7806.

Lenten seafood dinner: Knights of Columbus Council 4761 will hold a Lenten seafood dinner each Friday during Lent. Eat in or carry out. We will be serving 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Nativity Community Center. Soda, bottled water and desserts are available. The dinners are $8 a plate.

Operation Rice Bowl: As part of our faith community’s Lenten observance, we will participate in Catholic Relief Services’ Lenten program, Operation Rice Bowl. For more than 30 years, Operation Rice Bowl has inspired Catholics in the U.S. to pray, fast, learn and give as we increase our understanding of our global community throughout our Lenten journey. We encourage you to participate in Operation Rice Bowl at home with your family and loved ones. There will be Operation Rice Bowl miter boxes and materials at all entrances of church on Ash Wednesday. The boxes will be returned with your donations on Holy Thursday.

Raceland Senior Center: Peoples Health and Wellness is sponsoring a bean bag baseball game at the Raceland Senior Center at 10 a.m. Feb. 27. Come exercise and have fun at the same time. And if you would like to join us for lunch, please call the center the morning before to place your order.
