Here is a rundown of action taken Monday night by the Terrebonne Parish Council during committee meetings. All votes were unanimous unless otherwise noted. Councilwoman Christa Duplantis-Prather was absent.

BUDGET AND FINANCE

ACTION: Awarded the bid for the purchase of new/unused T-shirts and caps for team sports to the lowest qualified bidder, JNC Supplies.

ACTION: Awarded the bid for the surplus sale of CDBG Buyout property located at 1427 Dr. Beatrous Road to the highest bidder, Peggy's Bayou Biz, LLC (Peggy Bowers).

ACTION: Approved the proposed budget of Terrebonne Parish Recreation District No. 10 for the upcoming fiscal year.

ACTION: Ratified the services and invoice provided by Specialty Diving of Louisiana, Inc. for penetration inspection of seven culverts.

ACTION: Reviewed the proposed budget changes for the 2018 budget.

POLICY AND PROCEDURE

ACTION: Cosponsored the United Houma Nation Tribe's Annual Banquet on Saturday at the Grand Caillou Recreation Center.

ACTION: Continued the contract with Paul’s Agency, LLC for Producer of Record to commence on March 18 through Feb. 28, 2019.

ACTION: Continued and renewed the Producer of Record Contract with Laris Insurance Agency for casualty insurance coverage.

ACTION: Continued and renewed Producer of Record Contract with the Ledet Corporation, d.b.a. Ledet Insurance Agency, to provide comprehensive fireman's insurance and boiler and machinery coverage.

PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE

ACTION: Authorized the parish president to enter into a contract for engineering services with Aucoin & Associates Inc., for the Prospect Boulevard Sidewalks Project.

ACTION: Authorized the parish president to enter into a contract for engineering services with GIS Engineering, LLC, for the LA. 24 Sidewalk Rehab Project.

ACTION: Authorized a contract with Delta Chemical Corp. for water treatment chemical services and supplies.

ACTION: Awarded the construction contract for Multi-Agency Safe Room Project and authorized the issuance of the notice to proceed.

ACTION: Introduced an ordinance that will establish a "3-Way Stop" at the intersection of Riverview Street and Ravensaide Drive and called for a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 10.

ACTION: Awarded the construction contract for the South Wastewater Treatment Levee Rehabilitation at Cells 2&3 Project and authorized the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

ACTION: Authorized the parish president to sign and submit an amendment to the Terrebonne Parish Gustav/Ike Disaster Recovery Plan Budget to the state and HUD.

ACTION: Provided approval of Amendment No. 3 to the Engineering Agreement for the Upper Little Caillou Pump Station.

ACTION: Provided approval of Amendment No. 2 to the Engineering Agreement for the Six-Foot Ditch Levee Improvements Project.

ACTION: Provided approval of Amendment No. 2 to the Engineering Agreement for the Ellendale Levee Rehabilitation Project.

ACTION: Authorized the execution of Change Order No. 5 for the Construction Agreement for the DPW Administrative Building.

ACTION: Authorized the signing of a contract for electric utility locating services in Terrebonne Parish. Councilman Gerald Michel was against voting to approve taking over permitting.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

ACTION: Adopted the current changes to the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government Section 8 Program Administrative Plan.

ACTION: Authorized the Parish President to sign and submit the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Agreement with the Louisiana Housing Corporation for Grant Period Oct. 1 – Sept. 30, 2019.

ACTION: Awarded and authorized the signing of the Construction Contract for the Terrebonne Parish East Side Safe Room Project.

ACTION: Obligated the necessary funding under the FEMA-funded Terrebonne Parish Traditional Flood Mitigation Assistance Program to complete the elevation of 601 Woodside Drive in Houma.

ACTION: Obligated the necessary funding under the FEMA-funded Terrebonne Parish Traditional Flood Mitigation Assistance Program to complete the elevation 109 Cane Break in Chauvin.

ACTION: Obligated the necessary funding under the FEMA-funded Terrebonne Parish Traditional Flood Mitigation Assistance Program to complete the elevation of 310 Dwayne St. in Chauvin.

ACTION: Introduced an ordinance that will amend Ordinance No. 8896 that established the fees for the Terrebonne Parish Tennis Complex located at 106 Southdown West Blvd., Houma (former Renaissance Health and Racquet Club) and called for a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 23.
