ESTO – Seats 2 and 4 on Esto Town Council are up for re-election in December. Those seats are currently held by AJ Mattox and Randy Torrance, respectively. Qualifying will take place from October 30 to November 3, with the election held on December 4.

Qualification packets can be picked up from the Town Clerk at Esto Town Hall.

In a unanimous vote, speed limits signs will be posted on Commerce Street at 15 mph. The speed limit will extend 100 feet in both directions from the John Clark Park.

Customers will see the rate increase on their water bills beginning December 1. The increase is effective November 1.

West Florida Electric Cooperative Association will be placing seven light poles with LED lights throughout the town. Some will be at the park as a safety feature as well as in the Dixon Heights neighborhood.

Council member John Hagans will be on a teleconference with Senator Bill Nelson and various offices from the United States Department of Agriculture on Thursday. The call will be to discuss a possible grant/loan packet to pave every road in the town. More information is expected at a later date.

A Community Redevelopment Agency meeting is set to be held at 6:45 p.m. on October 17 to set a plan in motion.

In other items, a Fall Festival will be held at John Clark Park on October 14 from 1-4 p.m.

Esto Town Council will meet again in regular session at 7 p.m. on October 17.
